I coined the term after reading Miss Lou’s piece “Class an Colour Debate”,from her book “Aunty Roachy Say”, in which she documents some “ big time educated people” arguing in the church hall about “Class and Colour eena Jamaica”. She writes that her Aunty Roachy wishes she was there as she would have simply stated that “plenty people still judge dem one anodder class by de color of dem skin.”
